Citizen politics, unlike party politics, does not seek to change government, but to improve it by watchfulness, oversight and advice

Open Streets TO

On Sunday August 17 and August 31, everyone is invited to ‘Open Streets TO’, Toronto’s largest free recreational program.

‘Open Streets TO’ are programs where the streets are opened to people and closed to cars. People traffic replaces car traffic, and the streets become “paved parks” where people of all ages, abilities, and social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds can come out and improve their health.

ROAD CLOSURES
Bloor St (Spadina Ave to Parliament St) closed 7am-1pm
Yonge Street (Bloor St to Queen St) closed 7am-1pm

Open Streets TO will “soft close” streets. Vehicles will be able to cross the route at major intersections throughout the program.
