Community Planning Meeting – Spadina-Sussex “Community Area” – March 4, 2019

Huron Sussex residents are invited to a series of meetings to help determine the future of the “Community Area”, a 1,590m2 (17,115 sf) piece of land located at the northeast corner of Sussex Avenue and Robert Street. U of T is looking for your ideas and recommendations for this future open space.

Background
The University is planning on constructing a new student residence, along with a townhouse complex at the corner of Spadina and Sussex. As part of a rezoning process, the University will be improving some of the lands to the west of the project, including the Robert Street Playing Fields and the Community Area.
A committee, including the Ward Councillor, a University representative and a nominee of the Harbord Village Residents’ Association (HVRA) have been tasked with determining what improvements will be made to the Community Area.
All are welcome to learn more about the project and provide recommendations for the design.
