Siew Lian Recital, May 4 at Walter Hall, U of T

While there is no charge for the recital, the 90 minute program will include ‘re-imaginings’ of classical repertoire including Bach-Busoni Chaconne and more unusual pieces like Liszt’s Norma fantasy and Busoni’s Carmen fantasy.

Siew Lian is not only a neighbour, but is also a student of William Pengelly on Sussex Avenue.

Walter Hall is on the lower floor of Edward Johnson Building of the Faculty of Music, 80 Queen’s Park Crescent just beside the ROM. Here’s a handy map – http://goo.gl/maps/Jliw6. You can also enter by the ramp off Philosophers Walk. As Walter Hall is very tightly-booked this time of year, the recital will start promptly at 5:15 pm.
